Mount Mitchell Campout

From April 17–19, our troop will head to Mount Mitchell, North Carolina, the tallest peak east of the Mississippi River at 6,684 feet. We’ll set up a base camp where everyone will camp and cook together, enjoying the camaraderie of shared meals and activities. For those seeking adventure, there will be a challenge hike to the summit of Mount Mitchell, climbing roughly 3,200 feet from base to peak in a single day—a true badge of pride for anyone who conquers the highest point on the East Coast. To prepare, we’ll schedule training hikes ahead of time so participants are ready for the climb. At camp, there will also be a shorter hike option and other fun activities.
